Your Crimson Card is your official Transylvania University identification as well as a multi-function card that can be used to access your meal plan and Dining Dollars, door access, and Crimson Cash.
The back of your Crimson Card also contains contact information for critical safety resources, including national hotlines for domestic violence, sexual assault and suicide prevention.
Crimson Cash is a declining balance account that can be used for dining, mailroom services, and bookstore purchases.
To check meal plan and Crimson Cash activity on your account, visit the Crimson Card Account Center.
Adding Crimson Cash to the Crimson Card
- Online with a credit or debit card on the Crimson Card Account Center.
A $2.00 convenience fee applies to all credit/debit card transactions. - In person with cash or check in the Crimson Card Office, Old Morrison room 105.
- By mail with a check referencing the account number.

Unused Crimson Cash carries forward from year to year. Any balance on your Crimson Cash account when you leave Transy will first be applied to balances you may owe to Transy, then remaining Crimson Cash balances in excess of $10 will be refunded to you.
Report any Crimson Card access or physical damage issues immediately to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) at extension 8118. Damage to a Crimson Card may deactivate it. Replacement cards are available for a $20 replacement fee.
