Beginning with the Grammy-winning Kronos Quartet in 2007, Transylvania University has drawn world-class musicians — and audience members from throughout the region — to campus each year for the Dorothy J. and Fred K. Smith Endowed Concert Series.
Anthony Mead recently began as director of Transylvania’s Morlan Gallery, where he plans to showcase locally created works along with those from national and international artists.
The Grammy-winning Kronos Quartet, which kicked off Transylvania’s Smith Concert Series more than a decade ago, returns to campus Jan. 28 for a public performance.
For the past three decades, Transylvania University musicians have entertained audiences with festive tunes in the Gift of Holiday Music Concert. This tradition continues Dec. 6.
