Kaelyn Query Caldwell brings passion, experience and entrepreneurial energy to Transylvania University as the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and an adjunct instructor in the Business Administration department. She holds certifications in Women in Leadership from the University of Notre Dame (2020) and Wines of the World from Cornell University (2024).
In addition to her director role, she teaches BA1064 – Introduction to Entrepreneurship, helping students explore the foundational principles of launching and managing a business.
Kaelyn teaches by example, drawing on her real-world successes and setbacks to help students bridge theory and practice. She’s passionate about guiding early-stage innovation and finds it rewarding to support students as they develop game-changing ideas. Her mentorship has already led students to internships, advisory roles and startup opportunities. Kaelyn champions the liberal arts as essential to entrepreneurship, fostering versatile thinkers who can lead, problem-solve and adapt across disciplines.
“I love being part of the beginning of ‘the next big thing,’” she says. “It’s incredibly rewarding to watch students develop ideas that could change industries—and to know I helped them take the first step.”
