Meet the women leading Transy’s Greek organizations

Transy Panhellenic Organizations
Transy Panhel organizations

Earlier this year, each of Transylvania’s Greek organizations transitioned their student leadership teams. In this this blog, we introduce the new presidents within the Panhellenic community.

Profiles were submitted by the chapters.

Candace Cox

Panhellenic Community

My name is Candace Cox, and I am the Panhellenic president.

I am so thankful to have the opportunity to serve a community that has given so much to me. I never expected to go Greek, but it was the best decision I could have made. My experience in Greek life has been full of opportunity, and I am so excited to see a group of new women discover the same opportunities next fall.

Delta Delta Delta

Amanda Moberly

Hi, my name is Amanda Moberly and I am the president of Delta Delta Delta.

I love being Greek, specifically on Transy’s campus, because we are not only all tied together by our Panhellenic values, but by the values of being a Transylvania student. While each chapter has its own specific goals and visions, we are all working to better the world in one way or another. This sense of unity is so valuable to the university because it creates a purposeful drive to better the community in which we have all chosen to place ourselves.

Within my chapter, I hope that Beta Zeta fully embodies Tri Delta’s “live kind, lead kind” commitment to kindness—specifically through philanthropy, recruitment and BodyImage3D. Overall, I am looking forward to seeing how the Greek women on campus continue to develop as valuable members of the Transylvania community and beyond.

Alpha Omicron Pi

My name is Caroline Bauerschmidt and I’m the chapter president of Alpha Omicron Pi.

Being an AOII has been such an honor for me, but it is an even greater pleasure to serve my chapter as president. I love being able to be my sisters’ and officers’ biggest cheerleader, supporting them in whatever they are doing to further themselves or the chapter.

Greek life at Transy is an incredible opportunity that cannot be replicated at larger universities. Sororities are not bound in conflict but in mutual interest, respect and love, which is seen in the tight bonds of our Panhellenic community. The sisterhood I have experienced with Alpha O and Panhel pushes me to be the leader I always wanted to be, and I am looking forward to an amazing year!

Phi Mu

Hi everyone, my name is Katherine Young. I am the president of Phi Mu.

What I love about Transy is that it presented me the opportunity to join a community of women who truly believe in the power of women. This has been my experience in the Greek community. Being the president of Phi Mu’s Delta Theta chapter is my ultimate offering to the sisterhood that brought me in, grew me and loved me these past three years. Sharing my talents for leadership in this position could never fully express my gratitude for Phi Mu.

Our community as women is dependent on our collaboration, communication, and shared goals to inspire achievement. We need not fear our differences when our common link is love, honor and truth! I am proud to embrace the roles of leader and member of the Greek community.

Chi Omega

Hi! My name is Callie Ernspiker and I am the Chi Omega president.

Being president of Chi Omega has already done so much for me. It has allowed me to see things in myself I never would have if I wasn’t placed in this position. I not only learn a new appreciation for Chi Omega, but also for Greek life in general. I cannot wait to see where this position takes me and what all I can achieve for our chapter.
