The kudos keep coming for Transylvania University’s Office of Marketing and Communications. In addition to the four Educational Advertising awards received earlier this month, the team has now been recognized by the 2023 Collegiate Advertising Awards — netting one gold award, two silver awards and a bronze award.
The Collegiate Advertising Awards honor “excellence in marketing and advertising specific to the field of higher education,” per its website.
Entries were judged on creativity, layout and design, typography, production, quality and overall effectiveness by a panel of professionals with decades of experience in design and educational marketing. Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges, placing them in the top 16% of the nation for advertising excellence.
For competition purposes, Transylvania’s team was categorized in the group School 1,001-2,000 Students. The Office of Marketing and Communications took home awards in the following categories:
- Blogs category — a gold award for the 1780 blog — consistent with the university’s year-over-year recognition by the Educational Advertising awards.
- Special Events category — a silver award for the Transylvania Pioneers Women’s Basketball National Championship.
- Recruitment – Series category — a silver award for the university’s Pioneer Types yield postcards.
- TV/Video Advertising/PSA category — a bronze award for Pursue Bold Paths 2023.
“It’s so rewarding to see our marketing and communications team’s work lauded year over year at the national level,” said Megan Moloney, vice president for marketing and communications. “Working together with our partners in the advancement, athletics and admissions offices, we are creating and sharing Transylvania’s bold and vibrant story. It’s an honor to see our collective efforts recognized.”
In addition to this national recognition, Transylvania was also recognized on the local level this week by the Downtown Lexington Partnership, who honored the university with their Landscape and Streetscape Award of excellence.
