The Transylvania women’s basketball team moved up three spots to number 22 in this week’s release of the D3Hoops.com Top 25 Week 8 poll.
This week’s poll, which was released late Monday evening, saw the Pioneers elevated from number 25 last week to 22 this week.
Transylvania’s week was bolstered by going 2-0 in conference play, defeating third-place Hanover last Wednesday and Rose-Hulman, who entered last Saturday’s game tied with the Pioneers for first place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.
The Pioneers entered the Top 25 poll last week for the first time this season as well as the first time since the final poll of the 2014-2015 season.
Transylvania next returns to play tomorrow, January 30 as the Pioneers host the Earlham College Quakers at the Clive M. Beck Center in Lexington with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
