Transy Dog Behavior and Cognition Lab

The Transy Dog Behavior and Cognition Lab, founded in 2024, is a team of researchers and scholars seeking to understand the thoughts and behaviors of our best friends. In our lab we explore two questions:

1. how do we understand dog behavior so we can help dogs and people live harmoniously together?;
2. and what is going on in the minds of these complex and curious creatures?

When addressing these questions our lab has three broad and interconnected aims:

1. contributing to our field and supporting our colleagues via a rigorous and active research program;
2. developing young minds through excellent teaching and mentoring; and
3.  supporting our community by extending our knowledge out of the lab and into the spaces where it can directly benefit animals and the people who love them.
