The Pell Guarantee
If you qualify for the federal Pell Grant, Transylvania’s Pell Guarantee may make a private education a realistic option for you. The Pell Guarantee ensures that 100% of tuition and fees will be covered through a combination of institutional, federal and state grants and scholarships. This makes a private education a realistic option for many Kentucky students.
To be considered, you must:
- Graduate from a Kentucky high school or homeschool
- Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.3 (weighted)
- Submit the FAFSA (code 001987) and demonstrate financial need
- Apply for admission and submit FAFSA by Feb. 1 prior to enrolling
If you meet these criteria, you are automatically considered upon admission to Transylvania.To remain eligible, submit the FAFSA prior to the Kentucky deadline for state grants each year and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. Remaining costs may include housing, meals and personal expenses, which families can cover through additional resources such as loans, earnings or outside scholarships.
