Who gets financial aid?
There’s no such thing as a “typical” Transy student. Our students come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, and they’re all eligible for financial aid. Take a look at some examples of past financial aid award packages:

Jared
Jared is from Kentucky and comes from a single-parent home with an income of $28,112 per year. His family has no assets, and his FAFSA resulted in an Expected Family Contribution of $0. He had been a good student in high school, but even with scholarships, he was still unsure he would be able to afford Transylvania. Jared decided to apply anyway.

He got pretty good grades in high school, but he wasn’t a great test taker, so he chose to go test optional, knowing Transylvania considers more than just the ACT when considering your application.
