Majors and Minors

You may request to design a major with help from an adviser and approval of the academic dean. Many Transylvania students concentrate on more than one discipline and complete a double major in four years.

Advising and undergraduate preparation for:

Cooperative programs

Engineering
Students earn a B.A. in physics or liberal studies from Transylvania in three years and a B.S. in engineering from the University of Kentucky or Vanderbilt University in two years.

Accounting
Students earn a B.A. in accounting from Transylvania in four years and an M.S. in accounting from the University of Kentucky in one year. Students with a B.A. in accounting from Transylvania can qualify for the CPA exam by earning an additional 1.5 units.

Self-Designed Majors and Minors

Transylvania allows highly motivated students to work with faculty members, the dean, and the registrar to design a major that fits the student’s specific academic and career interests.
