Transylvania’s Morlan Gallery raised the curtain yesterday on its new season with “Missy Johnston: A Fitting Retrospective.”
The Transylvania theater and music programs this week present “The Ballad of Bride and Blue,” a story about star-crossed lovers with a folksy feel.
The stage is set for Transylvania Theater’s 2021-22 season, which features an eclectic collection of student-driven shows and a “fitting” exhibit to honor a retiring costume designer.
Transylvania students Tammy Ray ’23 and Ben Sexton ’22 collaborated to create original music for the radio play “Carmilla” — from creepy atmospheric pieces to a waltz.
Gil Rogers, a 1955 Transylvania graduate who played memorable roles on the soap operas “Guiding Light” and “All My Children,” died earlier this month at the age of 87.
