The Transylvania and Lexington communities are invited to celebrate the season on campus at Uniting Voices’ Winter Festival of Song.

Join musical artists from across central Kentucky on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Mitchell Fine Arts Center.

“Uniting Voices presents an enchanting musical journey, filled with music from around the world honoring many homelands and traditions,” said Kelly Hale, the group’s general manager. “Sweet melodies of young performers from all around the Bluegrass region will bring comfort and cheer, and give us hope of unity during this special time of year.”

Tickets are on sale now through the Mitchell Fine Arts Center box office

“We are so pleased to welcome Uniting Voices Lexington back to our theater,” said Graham Posner, production coordinator and technical director at Transy. “I was deeply impressed with what these amazing kids were able to accomplish in just a few days this past summer. I can not wait to hear what uplifting music they have created for the Winter Festival of Song.”

Transylvania has partnered with Uniting Voices to provide music education and empowerment opportunities to youth throughout the community. According to the group’s founder and artistic director, Michael Preacely, the mission of Uniting Voices Lexington is to inspire and change lives through music.

“Lexington is a thriving community with people from many parts of our country and the world,” Preacely said. “Uniting Voices, with our vision of a harmonious world, is exactly the type of organization needed to foster our growth and create a more united community.”
