October 31 — Early Decision Deadline
Know Transylvania is your first choice? Early Decision is for students who are confident Transylvania is where they want to be. Students who apply through Early Decision receive priority review and an early notification of their admission decision.
Early Decision is a binding agreement, meaning students admitted through this option commit to enrolling at Transylvania. Students who are still exploring their college options should apply through one of our Early Action deadlines, which provide priority consideration for admission and scholarships without requiring an enrollment commitment.

Early Action is the best option for students who want priority consideration for admission and scholarships while keeping their college options open.
Unlike Early Decision, Early Action is not binding. Students who apply by either Early Action deadline receive priority review and may continue exploring other colleges before making their final enrollment decision.
Students who apply by Dec. 1 receive priority consideration for admission, merit scholarships and the Premier Scholarship Program. Admission and scholarship decisions for Early Action applicants begin to be released in early December.
December 1 — Premier Scholarship Program deadline
Students who want to be considered for the Transylvania University Premier Scholarship Program must submit their application by Dec. 1.
Premier Scholarships recognize students for their academic achievement, leadership and involvement. Awards are based on the admission application, including academic performance, extracurricular and community involvement, recommendations and the admissions essay, if submitted.
Finalists will be notified by the Office of Admissions and invited to participate in an on-campus interview in December or January.
February 1 — regular decision deadline
Students who apply by Feb. 1 will be considered for all merit-based Transylvania scholarships except the Premier Scholarship awards.
After February 1 (first-time students)
Applications received from first-time students after Feb. 1 will be considered on a space‑available basis.
Deposit Deadline
Our deposit incentive deadlines are April 1 and May 1.
August 1 — transfer student deadline
Students planning to enroll for the fall semester should submit their transfer application by Aug. 1.
Students who apply by the deadline receive priority consideration for transfer scholarships.
