For Lyra Duffy ’27, Writing for and with Nonprofits wasn’t just another class on her schedule — it was a deep dive into the heart of Lexington. “This class was challenging, but amazing,” she says. “Nobody in that class just checked a box — we all pushed our limits and stepped out of our comfort zones in a way where we felt supported.”

The Pioneers have been knocking it out of the park when it comes to academics. Eighty-seven spring sport athletes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, earning a spot on the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC list. Transylvania led the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in total honorees, with the baseball team contributing a school-high 18 selections.
