All students must file an Application for Graduation online via TNet (under Academic Profile). Graduation applications are due by November 1.
Your name and hometown will appear on your diploma and in the commencement program exactly as you enter them in the Application for Graduation, so please verify the accuracy of what you type.
You can only submit your Application for Graduation once via TNet. If you need to make any changes, please contact the registrar’s office.
Select the term when you are will complete your degree requirements. Students may finish degree requirements in May, August, or December, but there is only one commencement each year, held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in May.
If you are scheduled to complete degree requirements by the following August or December and you complete your Application for Graduation by November 1, you may participate in commencement. December graduates can elect to walk the May before or the May after they complete all requirements.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all graduation requirements have been met, but the registrar’s office will make every effort to contact you before commencement if you have requirements outstanding. A student’s degree audit should indicate Pending (Anticipated complete) just under Advisor Name if all requirements are complete or will be completed in the upcoming term.

If you are completing degree requirements in May, you will receive your diploma at the commencement ceremony as you cross the stage. If you are completing degree requirements in August or December, the registrar’s office will contact you when your diploma is available. You can elect to pick it up in the office or have it mailed. Diplomas cannot be mailed to a PO Box, because they cannot be bent.
Your name will appear on your diploma exactly as it appears in our student computer database. When you file your Application for Graduation via TNet, your name and degree information will be displayed. If you would like to make a change, you can do so via the TNet Application for Graduation.
Only legal names will be printed. No nicknames or aliases will be allowed. If your name has special characters such as an acute accent (é, á), a tilde (ã, ũ), or an umlaut (ë, ö) that are not reflected in the database, please contact the registrar’s office.

Diplomas are 8 ½ x 11 inches. Frames are available in the Transylvania University Bookstore.
Yes. Requests must be made in writing and should include: your full name while in attendance, name exactly as it should appear on the diploma*, dates of attendance, year of graduation, student number or social security number, date of birth, phone number to contact with questions, and the mailing address where the diploma should be mailed.

Diploma re-orders take 8 to 10 weeks and cost $50.
*Diplomas are only issued with the name under which you attended Transylvania University.
