Campus Visitor Policy

In order to mitigate community spread, Transylvania has established COVID-19-specific protocols for visitors, vendors, guests and contractors who spend time on campus.

Healthy at Transy

All visitors to Transylvania’s campus are required to follow the same guidelines as students and employees for mask usage on campus. We strongly encourage all campus visitors ages 12 and older to be fully vaccinated or have received a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to arriving on campus.

CURRENT GUIDELINES: Beginning on March 15, the following adjustments to the Healthy at Transy guidelines are in place:

  • Mask use is encouraged, but will be optional in common spaces on campus, such as the Great Hall dining area, residence hall study areas, the library, athletic facilities and event spaces.
  • Faculty, staff and students have the right to require continued mask use in their personal spaces, which includes classrooms, offices and residence hall rooms.

Visitors who have recently tested positive for COVID-19, had a known contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or who are awaiting test results should reschedule their visit to campus. For specific events at Transylvania, visitors may be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours prior to arrival along with identification to attend the event.

The following guidelines apply to specific groups of visitors.
