About Transylvania’s COVID-19 Dashboard
Testing will play an important role in our ability to safely open our campus. In order to return to campus, students will be required to participate in coronavirus testing and daily health monitoring. This will be accomplished in two ways: university-provided COVID-19 testing upon move in or return to campus, and the Transylvania app’s new Health Pass screening function. Student-athletes will be required to test according to protocols determined by the NCAA.
- Baseline testing was conducted as students, staff and faculty returned to campus from Aug. 6-29, 2020.
- Beginning Aug. 30, 2020, testing is being conducted only on those who meet certain criteria, including health screening responses, possible exposure and required NCAA testing.
- The majority of Transylvania students departed campus following Thanksgiving. Testing in early December primarily reflects student-athlete testing.
- Students returned to campus beginning Jan. 3, 2021. Baseline testing was conducted Jan. 4-7, 2021. Numbers also include multiple tests per week for athletics teams currently competing.
