Our tuition and fees fall below the national average for liberal arts colleges, and we offer exceptionally competitive scholarship and financial aid awards. More than 90 percent of Transylvania graduates complete their degree in four years or less, compared with a mere 40 percent of students who do so nationally, according to&nbsp;<em>U.S.News &amp; World Report<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you graduate in four years, you save the tuition you would have spent in your fifth and sixth years at other schools. You also increase your lifetime earnings because you&#8217;re able to start your career or advanced degree sooner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a new, full-time, first-year student, Transylvania will guarantee that you will graduate in four years if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enroll for eight consecutive terms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take a full course load each term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the university&#8217;s required academic progress goals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Declare a major by the end of your sophomore year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you meet these criteria and do not graduate in four years, we will cover the cost of tuition while you complete your degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"levelTuitionOption\">Level Tuition Option<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Transylvania&#8217;s level tuition program lets you lock in a set tuition rate for four consecutive academic years. This plan is available to new, full-time, first-year students. Students who choose this option will pay slightly more than standard tuition for the first year, but will be guaranteed the same tuition rate for the following three years. The level tuition program is optional and covers tuition for each fall and winter term up to the maximum full-time course load. For more information, contact the Accounting Office at 859-233-8150 or&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:billing@transy.edu\">billing@transy.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"optional12MonthPaymentPlan\">Optional 12-month Payment Plan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We understand that it may be difficult to pay your educational fees all at once, so Transylvania offers you the option of paying the net balance of your tuition, fees, and room and board charges over 12 equal monthly payments. The first payment is due on July 1, and the final payment for each academic year is due on June 1.
