Esports at Transylvania

Competitive gaming has come to Transylvania University.

Transy’s esports program gives students a chance to get in on a billion-dollar industry in a state-of-the-art gaming arena in Thomson Hall.

Our esports players hone their gaming skills while developing their communication, cooperation and quick thinking to perform at their best. You’ll compete in tournaments against other schools for real prizes and bragging rights.

Viewing parties will be held for all Transy Esports matches.

Arena open hours:
Sundays: 2-10 p.m.
Mondays: 2-6 p.m.
Tuesdays: 3-5 p.m.
Wednesdays: closed
Thursdays: 3-5 p.m.
Fridays: 6-10 p.m.
Saturdays: 2-6 p.m.

Transy Esports is a member of the NECC, which provides and supports the collegiate esports community. The NECC fosters innovative competition experiences, provides quality broadcasting services, and works to support an inclusive community within collegiate esports

The benefits of esports

Participating in esports prepares you for academic and career opportunities in a variety of fields after graduating from Transylvania. Involvement with Transy esports can provide benefits in a number of areas of study such as computer science, digital arts and media, art and sports management. Participation in a NECC member esports program provides opportunities available through their community, such as graduate assistant positions and esports coaching positions after graduation.

Open to all levels

Transy Esports offers competitive play to students of all skill levels. Our NECC tournament organizers place teams according to their average rank, allowing even teams full of bronze players to find fair and competitive matches.
