From Athletics:

The Fitness Center and the Beck Center are closed Saturday.

Due to winter weather in the forecast for Friday, Jan. 10, classes scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and after will be held online. Morning classes, including the 11:30 a.m. class, will be held in person (subject to faculty discretion). Students are asked to monitor their email for communication from faculty regarding Friday classes. 

If students cannot make it to class because of the weather or travel concerns, they should make arrangements with their professor or participate virtually if available.

Beginning at 12:30 p.m., employees who can work remotely are asked to do so. Essential personnel should report as scheduled. Employees should check with their supervisors for any adjustments to their schedules that may be necessary due to weather conditions. 

The Great Hall will remain open through lunch. Dinner service will be from 4-6 p.m. Also, Gratz Perk will close early. Saturday hours are as regularly scheduled.

Please note that we recognize the remote start to the winter term is not the usual Transylvania class experience. Given this, we are extending the deadline for students to add classes for winter 2025 from Jan. 10 to Jan. 14 at 5 p.m. This will give students one additional class meeting (for both MWF and TTh classes) to decide if their classes are the the best fit for them this term. Students must be registered by 5 p.m. on Jan. 14 for the winter 2025 term. Tuition charges will become final at that time. Schedule changes should be made via the Self-Service portal.
