Making college affordable

Almost every student at Transy receives financial assistance. We encourage all applicants to complete the FAFSA (Transy code: 001987) to be considered for need-based aid.

Scholarships

Every applicant is automatically considered for merit scholarships, which can range up to full tuition. We also offer competitive scholarships that consider a student’s activities in leadership, service, special academic interests, academic excellence, special talent and co-curricular activities.

No Application Fee

Transylvania University does not charge an application fee, because we believe applying to college should be an open door—not a financial barrier. Our goal is to make the application process simple, supportive, and accessible for every student who wants to explore what Transy has to offer.

Life at Transy goes far beyond the classroom. Students participate in more than 60 clubs and organizations, sorority and fraternity life,  NCAA Division III athletics, and hands-on leadership experiences.

Located in downtown Lexington, Transy provides access to cultural events, internships and professional opportunities in one of the most vibrant college towns in the nation. Support services, including academic advising, career coaching and wellness programs, ensure every student has what they need to succeed.
