Transylvania University looks forward to celebrating our Class of 2026 with an in-person ceremony that honors our graduates and provides a welcoming environment for our guests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commencement ceremony is scheduled to take place on Old Morrison lawn. Guest tickets are not required for this ceremony. Should the ceremony be moved inside due to rain, each graduate will have six general admission rain tickets to distribute to guests. Moving the ceremony inside will be necessary only if there is inclement weather on the ceremony day; that decision will be made at 6:00 am on the morning of the ceremony. Graduates may pick up their rain tickets at the Senior Send-Off event (details below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commencement ceremony will be streamed live for family and friends to watch from home. In addition, a recording of the ceremony will be posted for people to watch at their leisure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event will be held in the Transy Bookstore, located in the Campus Center. Seniors will be able to order their regalia<\/a> packages and announcements<\/a>, confirm the information to be printed on their diploma, record their name for the ceremony name readers, and other commencement-related items. For pricing and other information, please contact the Bookstore at bookstore@transy.edu or 859-281-3570. For those who cannot attend the Grad Fair, please go to the bookstore or place your order online<\/a> by March 6 to order your regalia. You may place your order for invitations and announcements directly with Jostens<\/a> (use promotion code CLG100 for $100 off all jewelry).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ceremony Livestream and Recording<\/strong>
A livestream link will be active the morning of the ceremony at transy.edu\/live<\/a>. We will also post a recording of the ceremony above following the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photography<\/strong>
A professional photographer will capture each graduate crossing the stage and accepting their diploma. A link to these photographs will be posted on this webpage within two weeks of the ceremony and may be downloaded free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parking<\/strong>
Complimentary parking<\/a> can be found around the Transylvania University campus. Note that a permit is not required on the ceremony day and guests may park in any open lot on campus. The lot at the corner of 4th Street and Upper will be reserved for accessible parking only. If you require access to accessible parking, please fill out the form linked below. An overflow lot is available at the Lexington Traditional Magnet school located at 350 N. Limestone, which is about two blocks from Transy\u2019s campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessibility Services<\/strong>
If you or someone in your party has mobility issues and requires access to accessible parking, or if you require transportation from the parking lot to the ceremony site via golf cart, please submit a commencement accessible services request<\/a> (click on the link to fill out the brief request form). We must receive your request no later than 12:00 pm on Friday, May 22. Please note that we do not have wheelchairs available onsite. The ceremony site is located about 200 feet from the accessible parking lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you will require the assistance of an American Sign Language interpreter during the ceremony, please submit this request to academicdean@transy.edu no later than Friday, March 6, at 5:00 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flower Bouquets for Grads<\/strong>
Our Student Alumni Association will sell flower bouquets for families and friends to give to their grads at commencement! These can be picked up in front of the Glenn Building next to the Old Morrison lawn on the morning of commencement. The Student Alumni Association would love your support (funds raised will go toward their endowed scholarship) and wants to make your grad feel special on this momentous day. For pricing and the order form, please check this site closer to the date. Call or email omiller@transy.edu (859-233-8362) with any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amenities<\/strong>
Our Gratz Perk Caf\u00e9 (located in the Glenn Building next to the ceremony site) will open at 7:30 a.m. on Commencement morning and offer a variety of beverages for purchase. Restrooms are available onsite, located on either side of the ceremony site in the Glenn Building and the Cowgill Building. A medical team is also available in the Cowgill Building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
