Transylvania University looks forward to celebrating our Class of 2022 with an in-person ceremony that meets state public health guidelines and provide a safe environment for our graduates and guests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commencement ceremony is scheduled to take place on Old Morrison lawn. Guest tickets are not required for this ceremony. Should the ceremony be moved inside due to rain, each graduate will have seven general admission rain tickets to distribute to guests. Moving the ceremony inside will only be necessary if there is inclement weather on the ceremony day; that decision will be made at 6 a.m. on the morning of the ceremony. Graduates may pick up their rain tickets at the Senior Send-Off event on Tuesday, May 24, or any time after that at the Registrar’s Office (through Friday, May 27, at 4 p.m.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commencement ceremony will be streamed live for family and friends to watch from home. In addition, a recording of the ceremony will be posted for people to watch at their leisure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to comply with public health guidance and to protect the health and safety of all in attendance, we ask that all Commencement ceremony attendees follow current Healthy at Transy<\/a> protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us as we celebrate you, our 2022 Senior Class! Lunch will be served by Bon Appetit (bring your Crimson Card) and seniors can pick up their cap and gown and their commencement guest rain tickets. There will also be treats, valuable information, music and fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parking<\/strong>
Complimentary parking<\/a> can be found around the Transylvania University campus. Note that a permit is not required on the ceremony day and guests may park in any open lot on campus. The MFA lot at the corner of 4th Street and Upper will be reserved for disabled parking. If you require access to disabled parking and\/or seating close to the ASL interpreter, please use this link<\/a> to submit your request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Note that Fayette County Public Schools will hold graduation ceremonies at Rupp Arena on Friday, May 27, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. We expect the area around Rupp Arena to be congested on those days leading up to their ceremonies. Please be sure to avoid that area as you travel to Transy for our events.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gratz Perk Coffee Shop <\/strong>
The Gratz Perk Coffee Shop, adjacent to the ceremony seating area in the Glenn Building, will open at 8 a.m. on Commencement day. Hot and cold coffee drinks, water, and other beverages will be available for purchase as well as a variety of breakfast pastries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
