“Having a small class gives everyone a greater opportunity to get to know one another and to learn from one another. I have the chance not only to ask questions, but to share my opinion and to construct ideas through greater interaction with the professor and the class.”—Courtney Manies ‘16
How do we know that small classes are good for our students? Check the results:
Our professors teach three classes each term, with an average class size of 13 and many with 10 or fewer students. That gives our professors the chance to get to know you and take a personal interest in your progress.
As one of our students put it, "I've taken classes at larger universities and I couldn't even find the professor's door. It's pretty nice to be able to walk down the hall from the classroom to my professor's office."
Transylvania University admits students regardless of age, race, color, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, national origin, or any other classification protected by federal or state law or local ordinance.
