Old Morrison Chapel

The only place on campus with stained glass windows, the Chapel hosts several events for the benefit of Transylvania’s Spirituality and Religious Life community. Some of these events include Wake Up Wednesday, a weekly nondenominational prayer service, and a regular Catholic Mass, led by Father Norman Fischer of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church.

The chapel features several student-created pieces of art.

Mary-Clare Megibben, “As Above, So Below.” Acrylic and oil paints on canvas
Kaelyn Chambers, “It’s Eating at Me.” Oil on canvas
Fall 2021 Introduction to Drawing class taught by Jack Girard, “Figurative Landscape II.” Graphite over stencils on Rives paper.
Contributing students: John Blumenschein, Devin Craig, Christina Duvall, Robbie Fogle, Ally Frederick, Hunter Gregg, Natalie Herring, Mallory Johnson, Katrina Kottra, Melissa Lamb, Camae Mason, Katie Mikovch, Harry Powers and Courtney Standifur
