Kicking off a new partnership, Transylvania Theater and Bon App\u00e9tit Management Company are combining forces for \u201cdinner and a show\u201d this Saturday. A special picnic-themed meal will be served in the Rafskeller prior to the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The menu features made-from-scratch entrees and sides, much of which is sourced from within 150 miles of the downtown Lexington campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe feature menu will be fried chicken, cider braised pulled pork with smoked chili vinegar sauce, green apple and mustard seed slaw, green beans with crushed salt and vinegar chips, smashed buttermilk potatoes with scallion, red peppers and parsley, spice-rubbed corn on the cob, black-eyed pea salad with cucumber, tomato, vinegar and herbs, and farro and tomato salad with crispy capers,\u201d said Chris Harris, Bon App\u00e9tit\u2019s general manager at Transylvania. Vegetarian options also include pizza, pasta and a salad bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And dessert? It\u2019s fit for a picnic: \u201cBerry buckle, fudge brownies and banana pudding,\u201d Harris shared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
