Morlan Gallery’s 2019-20 season features works from acclaimed artists that reflect this school year\u2019s campus theme: Resilience.

A new exhibition at Transylvania University’s Morlan Gallery highlights artists who employ queer archives and histories \u2014 from the personal to the collective, the informal to the institutional, the real to the imagined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Running through Dec. 3, \u201cIf I Could Turn Back Time\u201d features works by Aaron Skolnick, Forest Kelley, Jared Phillip Buckheister, Jonesy and Jaime C. Knight. The exhibition was curated by Transylvania alumnus Paul Michael Brown ’13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These artists alternately unearth, reinterpret or invent queer historical narratives in an effort to destabilize mainstream understandings of the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note, this exhibition contains mature themes.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nov. 20, 7-8 p.m. | Curator\u2019s Gallery Tour with Paul Brown<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All events are in Morlan Gallery<\/a>, which is on the first floor of the Mitchell Fine Arts Center<\/a>. All of Morlan’s exhibitions and special events are free and open to the public.
