Vice President for Information Technology Deepa Dubal<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Deepa Dubal has been named Transylvania University\u2019s vice\npresident for information technology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dubal joined Transylvania in August 2018 as an associate vice\npresident and was promoted to the president\u2019s cabinet this month. She\npreviously led technology efforts at the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary\nEducation (CPE) in Frankfort, where she was chief technology officer. She\nworked at CPE for 16 years beginning in 2002 as a programmer.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDeepa\u2019s breadth of technology expertise\u2014which includes\napplication development, student information systems, educational technology\nand analytics\u2014has made an immediate impact at Transylvania,\u201d President Seamus\nCarey said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeing on the president’s cabinet will allow me to ensure that a\ntechnology perspective is applied to institutional goal setting and strategies,\u201d\nDubal said. \u201cI strongly believe that together we can make the university more\nefficient, our data more secure, and enhance how we support our students,\nstaff, faculty and their teaching.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
