The Transylvania women’s basketball team moved up three spots to number 22 in this week’s release of the D3Hoops.com Top 25 Week 8 poll.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week’s poll, which was released late Monday evening, saw the Pioneers elevated from number 25 last week to 22 this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transylvania’s week was bolstered by going 2-0 in conference play, defeating third-place Hanover last Wednesday and Rose-Hulman, who entered last Saturday’s game tied with the Pioneers for first place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pioneers entered the Top 25 poll last week for the first time this season as well as the first time since the final poll of the 2014-2015 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transylvania next returns to play tomorrow, January 30 as the Pioneers host the Earlham College Quakers at the Clive M. Beck Center in Lexington with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
