Text-to-give to Transylvania for your chance to take home this Rafskeller sign.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Big changes are taking place on Transylvania\u2019s campus over this winter break, with one of the biggest being the relocation of the university\u2019s primary dining facility from the Forrer Hall cafeteria to the Rafskeller.\u00a0 While students, faculty and staff are away over winter break, the Raf is being expanded to accommodate daily campus dining for the duration of the Campus Center construction project.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to a new kitchen and serving stations, a number of spaces near the Raf are getting makeovers to provide seating for diners. That means new paint on the walls<\/a> and new signs will be in place to greet students when they return to campus in January.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The update also provides an opportunity for alumni and others to bring a little bit of the \u201cold\u201d Raf home with them. As part of Transy\u2019s year-end appeal, donors can earn a chance to win the Rafskeller sign that hung on the outside of the Mitchell Fine Arts Center for years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe debuted text-to-give as an easier and faster way for our alumni to give. As a thank you for the support we’ve received this year we are giving away the Raf sign,\u201d explains Danielle Evans \u201917, assistant director of donor engagement at Transylvania.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAny gift of $25 or more made between Dec. 18 and the end of the year \u2014 Dec. 31 \u2014 will get your name put in a drawing to be the new sign owner,\u201d Evans said. To be eligible to win the Raf sign, just send a text to give to Transy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Text-to-give is simple: To make a donation, text the keyword RAF to 859-209-3640 and follow the prompts you receive via your phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re lucky, you may just end up with your very own barn wood Raf sign to help you relive all those meals in MFA, while helping support current Pioneers with your gift.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
