Transylvania University has named Tora Carter<\/a> as the head coach for its new STUNT program<\/a>, launching in the 2025-26 academic year. STUNT is a fast-growing women’s sport that combines elements of cheerleading \u2014 such as pyramids, tosses and tumbling \u2014 into a competitive game format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We’re excited to have Tora Carter lead our new STUNT program,” said Jeff Chaney, acting vice president for athletics. “Her experience and success make her the ideal coach to build a strong program. We’re confident in her ability to elevate Transylvania STUNT to new heights.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carter brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as Transylvania’s head dance and cheer coach for a number of years. With both collegiate and professional cheer and dance experience, Carter is excited to launch this program at Transylvania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt Transylvania, we\u2019re passionate about empowering our students with new opportunities, and we\u2019re proud to champion the growth of STUNT. We\u2019re committed to excellence \u2014 setting new standards and pushing boundaries.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pioneers will join a group of just 16 DIII schools and two Kentucky colleges, the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University, in offering this high-energy women\u2019s sport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
