Young Jr. as a lifetime trustee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Janet McGregor &#8217;74 and Jennifer A. Moore &#8217;95 will begin their four-year term with the board July 1, which is also when Chris Young becomes the new board chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased to welcome two successful, dedicated alumnae to our Board of Trustees,&#8221; President Brien Lewis said. &#8220;I look forward to working with them \u2014 along with our new officers \u2014 as we continue to foster a culture of excellence for our current and future Pioneers.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-janet-mcgregor\"><strong>Janet McGregor<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"367\" height=\"475\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/trustee-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23731\" style=\"width:196px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/trustee-1.jpeg 367w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/trustee-1-270x350.jpeg 270w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/trustee-1-232x300.jpeg 232w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 367px) 100vw, 367px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>McGregor, whose career has included a variety of financial leadership roles with Lockheed Martin, has stayed connected to Transylvania as a Board of Regents member and 100 Doors to success mentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She and her classmates helped create a Class of 1974 endowed scholarship while serving as a member of her 50th reunion committee, and she hosted an alumni gathering in Washington, D.C., where she chairs the National Cathedral\u2019s Finance Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Transylvania, McGregor majored in psychology and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, field hockey team and Pioneer Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her various roles have included serving as president and CEO of the Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company and COO and chief financial officer with the National Association of Broadcasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McGregor, who earned an MBA from American University, lives in McLean, Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-jennifer-moore\"><strong>Jennifer Moore<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"584\" height=\"730\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/JAM-website-1-584x730.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23733\" style=\"width:201px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/JAM-website-1-584x730.jpg 584w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/JAM-website-1-280x350.jpg 280w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/JAM-website-1-768x960.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/JAM-website-1-1229x1536.jpg 1229w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/JAM-website-1-648x810.jpg 648w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/JAM-website-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/06\/JAM-website-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A prominent attorney and community leader, Moore <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/2024\/04\/kentucky-attorney-jennifer-a-moore-95-creates-scholarship-to-empower-future-generations-at-transylvania\/\">recently funded a $1.25 million gift<\/a> to create a full-ride Transylvania scholarship beginning next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy hope is that a scholarship at this level will open the world of a liberal arts higher education to others and have a positive impact on Transylvania\u2019s ability to recruit the best and brightest students from all over our country and especially right here in Kentucky, ultimately serving to enhance the school\u2019s academic reputation and inspiring other alumni to contribute in ways that are meaningful to them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moore earned a B.A. from Transylvania in political science and a J.D. from the University of Kentucky. Additionally, she served a federal court clerkship with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She went on to found the Moore Law Group based in Louisville, and as a trial lawyer she&#8217;s been holding major corporations accountable for harmful products. She also created Emerge Kentucky, a nonprofit training women to run for elected office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-other-board-updates\"><strong>Other board updates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris Young will become the new chair after serving on the board since 2010. His numerous other roles have included serving as director of the William T. Young Foundation, general manager of Overbrook Farm and president of Bluegrass Angels. He is a graduate of Duke University and the son of William T.
