The live event is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 16-17, with a rehearsal Nov. 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Performers selected to participate will receive a small stipend and compete for up to $4,000 in scholarship awards from Transylvania.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is an exceptional opportunity to gain valuable performance experience, network with fellow young artists and share your passion with the Transylvania and Lexington communities,\u201d said Rebecca Thomas, dean of the university and vice president for academic affairs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will feature multiple performance slots for high school and college artists selected through a juried submission process. Scholarships of up to $4,000 will be awarded to the top high school performers, as determined by audience participation. (Recipients must attend Transylvania and meet minimum grade requirements to receive scholarship funds.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All showcase acts will receive a small stipend for their performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility and selection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The 2024 Young Performers Showcase is open to all enrolled Kentucky high school students and Transylvania students. (Currently enrolled Transylvania students are not eligible for scholarship consideration, but will receive a stipend.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A panel of Transylvania faculty and staff, including members of the MFA Performing Arts Season Advisory Committee, will review submissions and select performers based on artistic merit, stage presence and originality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please submit a brief biography (150 words or less) highlighting your artistic background and goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit performance materials such as a video recording (five minutes or less) or other sample of your work \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeu6TlFmp_roWcAaEp_psABuSghhOQMeyT5JyYyz2guprwoIw\/viewform?usp=send_form\">Artist Submission Form<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The UPDATED deadline to
