Brilliant Family Foundation. (Her family owns Mt. Brilliant Farm in Lexington.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goodlett graduated from Transylvania in 2010 with a studio arts degree and worked for the nonprofit Wildlands Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her husband, Will, is a Marine Corps veteran studying theater at Transylvania. They have a son, James Robert Goodlett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I am thrilled to have been selected to join Transylvania\u2019s Board of Trustees,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I am excited to settle into a role on this board that will allow me to best serve the university and community.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jeff Truitt<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2023\/07\/transylvania_trustee_1-641x730.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22297\" width=\"208\" height=\"237\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2023\/07\/transylvania_trustee_1-641x730.jpg 641w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2023\/07\/transylvania_trustee_1-308x350.jpg 308w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2023\/07\/transylvania_trustee_1-712x810.jpg 712w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2023\/07\/transylvania_trustee_1-264x300.jpg 264w, https:\/\/www.transy.edu\/1780\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2023\/07\/transylvania_trustee_1.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 208px) 100vw, 208px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Truitt, who majored in business administration with an emphasis in management at Transylvania, began his insurance career in financial services and was a producer for a large independent property and casualty agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Truitt is now a senior benefit consultant at Benefit Insurance Marketing (BIM Group). Since he turned his focus to employee benefits, he has built a large practice in the equine industry and with businesses in various industries with more than 100 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, he has served as president of the Alumni Council at The Lexington School and was chairman of its Board of Trustees. He was a professor of neurosurgery at UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year, Transylvania honors writers in the Appalachian region with the <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.transy.edu\/JudyGainesYoung\">Judy
