\"PRSALexington, Ky.\u2014Two Transylvania University publications\u2014the admissions viewbook <\/a>and Transylvania<\/em><\/a> magazine\u2014received first place honors\u00a0 the Public Relations Society of America-Thoroughbred Chapter\u2019s 2011 awards competition. PRSA is the world\u2019s largest organization for public relations professionals. <\/p>\n

This is the second award for the viewbook this year. It received the Award of Excellence and was a Grand Award finalist in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education\u2019s District III awards competition in February. The district includes public and private colleges and independent schools in nine southeastern states. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe PRSA awards are especially meaningful because they prove that our publications compare favorably with those produced by business, industry, nonprofit\u00a0 organizations, government agencies, and consulting firms\u2014not just educational institutions,\u201d said Sarah Emmons, associate vice president of communications and public relations at Transylvania. \u201cI\u2019m delighted that they have once again been judged among the top in the region.\u201d <\/p>\n

The viewbook provides a comprehensive introduction to Transylvania for prospective students. Transylvania<\/em> magazine is published three times a year and highlights campus events and successful alumni.
