Applications are open for rising high school seniors to be part of Transylvania University’s Class of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a particularly exciting time to become a Transy student. This fall marks the opening of a brand new campus center<\/a>, which is transforming student life, and the university on July 1 welcomed a new president, Brien Lewis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We’re excited to welcome our current students back to campus to the $30 million W.T. Young Campus Center, and we’re excited to talk to prospective students about being Pioneers,” said Johnnie Johnson, vice president for admissions. “This summer is the perfect time to fill out the application and get at least a draft or two of your college essay completed. Contact us with questions \u2014 we’ll work with you through your entire college search process.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Transy application is much more than just your GPA and standardized test scores. The admissions office considers your entire high school career when reviewing applications, from leadership roles to community engagement and more. It\u2019s why Transy became the first test-optional<\/a> school in Kentucky, meaning that applicants are not required to submit their SAT or ACT test scores if they don\u2019t feel they accurately represent their abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your application also grants you automatic consideration for our highest scholarships. Apply by Dec. 1, and you’ll be eligible for our Premier Scholarships<\/a>, which range from $18,000 all the way up to full tuition and fees. You’re encouraged to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid<\/a> as early as Oct. 1 to be eligible to receive as much financial aid as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
