Transylvania has distributed more than $400,000 in federal coronavirus relief funds over the past month to help students cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations.
“It is our sincere intention to deliver our traditional, on-campus experience this fall and resume the individualized, personal instruction for which Transylvania has been known for 240 years.”
Transylvania is arranging a virtual commencement for May 23 at 9 a.m. The school plans to have an in-person ceremony whenever it’s safe.
Interim President Williams and President-Designate Lewis are working closely with their team at Transylvania, as well as other college presidents throughout Kentucky, to develop plans for a fall reopening of the campus while meeting public health directives.
