Students in Transylvania’s Health Studies Seminar are learning about various aspects of the health care field from professionals, many of them alumni, with a variety of jobs.
Sophie Schwab ’11 likes to tell her students that biology is her first love. Convincing them of its relevance in every facet of their lives is, perhaps, her second. Within the first several years of teaching, she has received two student-nominated awards, one from Barnes & Noble, the other from Fayette County Schools.
Betsy May was willing to be adaptable in her job search after graduating from Transylvania in 2008; she sought roles that she could grow into and learn from — her current one is with Keeneland Race Course.
