Cutting-edge musicians and artists from across the nation will converge on Transylvania University next month for the Studio 300 Digital Art and Music Festival from Oct. 3-4.
Transylvania senior Shawna Morton designed a deck of trading cards representing historically important women. She will distribute them to an art club at Cardinal Valley Elementary School, who will in turn make art inspired by the cards.
An immersive video installation by Transylvania University professor Zoé Strecker will be on public display for the first time starting Tuesday in the school’s Morlan Gallery.
Transylvania’s Morlan Gallery will celebrate the works of the late Dan Selter, a renowned ceramist and professor emeritus of art, from Tuesday through Oct. 11.
In a special collaborative exhibition, Transylvania University’s Morlan Gallery and J. Douglas Gay Jr./Frances Carrick Thomas Library present “The Art of Kentucky Literature: 45 Years of Larkspur Press,” a celebration of Larkspur’s 45th anniversary. The show runs Tuesday through Nov. 1.
