When families begin exploring college options, one of the first questions is: How will we pay for it? At liberal arts colleges, scholarships and financial aid often make a private education more affordable than many expect. At Transylvania University — known as Transy — scholarships are more than just financial support. They are investments in potential that help students thrive academically, socially and professionally.
Why scholarships matter at liberal arts colleges
A liberal arts education offers small classes, close faculty mentorship and career flexibility. Yet the cost of private universities can cause sticker shock for families. Scholarships reduce that burden, giving students freedom to focus on growth rather than finances.
At Transy, scholarships recognize more than academics. They also consider leadership, creativity, service and unique talents — ensuring students are valued for who they are as well as what they achieve.
