PumpkinMania is back — and this year, it’s “Carved in History.” Celebrating its 15th year, Transylvania University’s signature fall tradition will once again fill the steps of Old Morrison on Sunday with the glow of hundreds of carved pumpkins created by students, alumni and community members.
The theme, “Carved in History,” highlights Transylvania’s role in Lexington’s story — nearly 250 years strong — while also celebrating alumni achievements and the legacy being created today by current students. It is also about the future: welcoming prospective students and families into a tradition that is both historic and alive with possibility.
Since 2011, Transylvania’s PumpkinMania has grown from a campus event into one of Lexington’s most recognized fall traditions, even landing on “Good Morning America” for its spectacular visuals.
“PumpkinMania is where the past, present and future come together,” said Transylvania President Brien Lewis. “It’s a chance to honor our history, bring the community to campus and invite new students to be part of the story we continue to carve at Transylvania University.”
