Transylvania University invites prospective students to campus Oct. 24 and Nov. 14 to experience life as a Pioneer.
Personalized for each visitor based on their interests, these Preview Days could include a full campus tour, peek at a residence hall room, complimentary lunch in the Great Hall and info sessions on a variety of topics — from admissions to student life to financial aid to study abroad. Visitors will also connect with current Pioneers, faculty and staff — and even sit in on a mock class to get a feel for what it’s like to learn at Transylvania.
Register for the Friday, Oct. 24, Preview Day, or for the one on Friday, Nov. 14.
“Preview Day is more than a campus visit — it’s your first step into a community where you’re known, supported and challenged to reach your full potential,” Director of Admissions Julie Sams said. “At Transy, it’s not about the size of the school, but the size of the opportunities that await you.”
Transylvania students are supported by a faculty dedicated to academic excellence in the liberal arts. They can also pursue a diverse range of majors, minors, preprofessional programs and research opportunities while honing critical writing, reasoning and communication skills that employers seek.
Preview Day visitors will get a firsthand glimpse of academics at Transylvania during the mock classes with actual professors.
Additionally, they’ll learn about what makes the school unique, such as May term courses that are often team-taught and involve international travel. Other Preview Day highlights include insider tips on affordability and all the perks that come with living in a vibrant community like Lexington.
“From personalized academics to real-world experiences and a commitment to affordability, we’re here to help you discover just how far your Transy journey can take you,” Sams said.
