Graduate Scholarships

The Rhodes ScholarshipsFull tuition, fees, and stipend for two years of graduate study at the University of Oxford. Scholarships awarded to multi-talented students with proven intellectual and academic achievement of the highest standard. Applicants must have integrity of character, the ability to lead, energy and physical vigor. Candidates must be nominated by Transylvania. A total of 32 American Rhodes Scholars are selected from eight U.S. districts.

The Gates Cambridge Scholarships:  Full time, fees, and stipend for graduate study at the University of Cambridge. Applicants must have an exceptional record and be admitted to the University of Cambridge. Approximately 80 scholarships are awarded to U.S students.

British Marshall Scholarships:  £19,000 (about $28,500) per year for two years of graduate study at any British university. To qualify, students should have a grade point average of not less than 3.7 and hold a bachelor's degree by the time they take up their scholarship. Preference will be given to candidates who combine high academic ability with the capacity to play an active part in the life of a British University. Up to 40 scholarships awarded. 

Davies-Jackson Scholarships:  Full tuition, fees and stipend for two years of graduate study at the University of Cambridge. The scholarship is designed for students with modest economic backgrounds and who are among the first in their families to have graduated from college. Open to majors in anthropology, classics, economics, English, foreign language, geography, history, history of art, music, philosophy, social, and political sciences.

Fulbright Scholarships:  Awards for graduate study, research, or teaching abroad. Round-trip transportation, tuition and maintenance for one year. Approximately 670 awards to over 100 countries.
