A registered nurse is present in Transylvania’s health services office during the day Monday through Friday to provide basic care needs. Full-time students may receive six free counseling sessions each academic year. Appointments can be used for academic counseling, time management skills, relationship/roommate conflict resolution, constructive communication skills, or feelings validation—depression, loneliness, homesickness. Growth Resources, a local counseling center, offers services on campus and at a Gratz Park office, which is within easy walking distance. All visits are strictly confidential.
