An exhibition of contemporary painting, drawing, photography, and pop ephemera chronicling the myths, stories, history and faces of the LGBTQ* community in Lexington, Kentucky. Lexington's mythic sexual renegades include Belle Breezing, Marcellus Jerome Clarke “Sue Mundy”, Henry Lawrence Faulkner, James Herndon “Sweet Evening Breeze”, and Rock Hudson among others. Curated by Lexington artist and activist Robert Morgan.

This exhibition contains mature content; minors should be accompanied by an adult.

  • Lexington Gallery Hop: Fri., Nov. 15, 5-8 p.m.
  • Jackson E. Schad: Transkentuckian—Wed., Nov. 6, 7 p.m. in the Coleman Recital Hall, Mitchell Fine Arts Center.
    Schad relates the idea of being born a new person in a new state and how Kentucky has influenced and supported his transition. 
  • Curator's Perspective with Robert Morgan—Tuesday, Nov 12, 12:30-1:15 in the Morlan Gallery
    Artist, activist, and I’ll Be Your Mirror curator Robert Morgan discusses the process of considering and assembling the exhibition as well as sharing the fascinating and often untold history of Lexington’s LGBTQ* community.
