Juried Student Art Exhibition 2012

A Perennial Favorite is Back!

The Morlan Gallery is proud to present the annual Juried Student Exhibition, opening Friday, May 4 at noon and running through Friday, May 18.  Over 40 Transy students are represented in the Juried Show featuring work made in a wide range of media, including clay, paint, digital media, and prints. 

The Art Faculty and Morlan Gallery congratulate the seven Jurors’ Award recipients for the 2012 Juried Student Exhibition.

The jurors awarded the following four students with Excellence in Media Awards during the opening reception for the artists:

  • Paul Brown and Zach Stanley, digital media
  • Lauren Hatchett, ceramics
  • Katelynn Ralston, sculpture
  • Julia Sebastian, printmaking

Two honorable mentions were given as well:

  • Raelyn Nickerson, for her strong sculptural work in ceramic and paper
  • Sara Escobedo, for her ceramic work

The esteemed Lampton Prize, named in honor of artist Nana Lampton, was awarded for the first time to Ryla Luttrell in recognition of her creative vision, strong work ethic, and natural leadership.
