A beautiful and humorous look at the idea of chance, fate, and destiny, Bad Luck offers a sampling of local and international artists working in a variety of media. Lexington artists include painter Georgia Henkel, new media artist Doreen Maloney, and ceramicist Dan Selter who join Nancy Atakan, a photographer and video artist from Istanbul, Turkey, Maxwell Loren Holyoke-Hirsh, a young artist from Los Angeles, and Rosamond Purcell, an internationally recognized photographer currently living in Boston. Bad Luck, guest curated by Lexington artist Bill Santen, includes a 14-page exhibition catalog with color plates, available for the purchase price of $2.
Read Dr. Robert Jensen's excellent essay written specifically for this exhibition Bad Luck Is A Surrealist Adventure. Dr. Jensen will deliver a lecture by the same title on Wednesday, November 7 at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
