Transylvania University art students have a variety of opportunities to meet and interact with contemporary artists and art professionals. For example, the Morlan Gallery frequently brings in artists, curators, and critics, such as noted art critic Eleanor Heartney (top center panel) and South African artist Berni Searle (top left panel) and local favorite Robert Morgan (right). The art faculty regularly feature guest artists for demonstrations, lectures, and critiques. And classes like Community Engagement Through the Arts intentionly seek out creative partnerships with local artists, writers, and thinkers.
Some of our recent guest artists and lecturers include: Mario Logston, Mel Zeigler, Dr. Kuiyi Shen, Valerie Fuchs, Tom Bartel, Frank Döring, and Guy Mendes.
