“Transylvania is more than a university—it is a tight community where everyone can find their connection and belonging here. It has always been very supportive to me—letting me try all the options and choose the best one.”

Orientation for international students will take place Aug. 7-11, 2016. There is a $200 orientation fee. It covers a welcome kit, most meals during the orientation period, transportation to various locations around the city, international ambassadors to help with cultural and academic adjustments, workshops with academic offices on campus, workshops with student life groups on campus, trips to malls or popular shopping places around town, academic sessions to help you prepare for the liberal arts education system, and so much more! This fee must be paid by July 1, 2016.
We would like to thank our orientation sponsors for working with us to make this great:
Also FoxHouse Vintage Clothing will be on campus during the resource fair on Aug. 8, 2016 for you to shop for any accessories or clothes that you may need. There will also be two major shopping trips during orientation so make sure you check the THINGS TO BRING link.
It is strongly recommended that you arrive on Sunday Aug. 7, 2016, so you have plenty of time to rest beforehand. However, if you arrive prior to Sunday, you will need to arrange your own accommodations as the dorms will not be available. See list of nearby hotels.
Please note that the last shuttle will leave the Lexington airport on Sunday at 10 p.m. If your flight arrives after 10 p.m., you will need to call the Transylvania Department of Public Safety (859) 233-8118 to arrange for a taxi to come and pick you up from the airport. Once you send your flight information, you will be contacted via email with a shuttle time. Please make sure you follow all directions that will be emailed to you regarding the shuttle pick-up.
