Course Requirements

General pharmacy school requirements in Kentucky include:

  • One semester of biology with laboratory
  • Two semesters of general chemistry with laboratories
  • Two semesters of organic chemistry with laboratories
  • Two semesters of English
  • One semester of calculus or a semester of college algebra AND elementary calculus
  • One semester of microeconomics or macroeconomics or accounting
  • One semester of microbiology with laboratory
  • One semester of statistics
  • One semester of human anatomy
  • One semester of physiology
  • Public speaking required by some colleges
  • 10–19 hours of elective courses
